A Seat at the Table, 2020
A Seat at the Table is a collection of tableware made solely from dry, discarded clay from local potters in Manila, Philippines. All tools and materials were gathered from the community as well, with baking utensils and hardware appliances serving as substitutions for pottery and sculpting tools. The work reflects the conditions of scarcity and reliance within communities during the strict lockdown at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
