Unicorn Horn, 2014

Building on previous work in sculptural resin jewelry, 12 candy-colored editions were created for Unicorn Horn - cast resin peices in the form of a dulo-dulo, a traditional Filipino first weapon usually made in wood or carabao horn. The work contrasts 2 opposing needs of women - that of being attractive, and that of being safe. With attractiveness comes more male attention - exhilarating and empowering at best; threatening and violent at worst.
